2014 Chardonel
Chardonel is a hybrid cross between Seyval and Chardonnay and is grown here in West Tennessee. Chardonel finishes similar to Chardonnay, medium bodied, crisp acidity and fruity taste. very good served chilled with heavier seafood dishes or chicken dishes with white sauces.
2012 Norton
This wine is said to be a Native American variety found in the 1800’s in MO, but there are those that think it is the product of a 1700’s viticulturalist.
The wine is oak barrel aged and has a rich color, dry character, and a medium body. Pairs well with red meats from the grill and spicy pastas.
2014 CHAMBOURCIN
A medium bodied American Hybrid with a soft cherry tone finish and aromas of red currant fruit. Aged 11 months in American oak barrels Pairs well with beef and mushrooms, pastas in tomato sauce and pizza.
2014 POVERTY POINT RED
“Poverty Point” being our nickname for the farm, with tongue in cheek, makes this our namesake wine. It is a delightful blend of Cabernet Sauvigon from Washington’s Columbia Valley, our own Chambourcin and the balance is Corot Noir. Very smooth and balanced sipping red wine.
2013 COROT NOIR
French American hybrid developed and released by Cornell University. It is the result of the cross Seyve Villard and Steuben and was hybridized to substitute for a Pinot Noir which can’t be grown in the warm humid south.

Semi-sweet blush wine which is a blend of Cayuga White and Corot Noir. This is a very nice sipping wine with or without food. Some folks say that it is like a White Zinfandel.

2014 MADISON MUSCAT

This wine is made from 100% Valvin Muscat grapes grown here on our farm. It is just sweet enough to balance with the acidity which makes it a great semi-sweet sipping wine. Even folks that like dry wines like this wine.

2014 CAYUGA WHITE

A smooth off dry, fruity sipping wine which is much like a Pinot Grigio. Best served chilled and pairs well with white cheeses, chicken and seafood dishes.

2013 TRAMINETTE
An American-French Hybrid produced from the crossing of Seyval & Gewurztraminer. The wine is semi-sweet, complex, layered and has a pronounced fruity flavor of liche and with a refreshing spicy finish. Pairs well with seafood dishes, white cheeses and is typically served chilled.
Winner of the WILLIAM O. BEACH AWARD at the 2011 Wines of the South Competition. This is the highest award given for a TN grown fruit.
2013 RED MUSCADINE
A slightly sweet deep red wine made from the black muscadine. Another southern favorite, where these grapes grow even in the wild. This wine should be named “Memory Lane” since so many folk remember their parents and grand-parents making this wine in a crock. Serve chilled.
2014 MUSCADINE
A southern favorite – semi-sweet to sweet wine made from the bronze muscadine grape. It has a unique, spicy perfume like aroma and flavor. A southern favorite best served chilled
2014 HERITAGE RED
This is a very delightfully sweet deep red wine made from Concord grapes. You might say that it is Welch’s Grape Juice with a “kick”.
2014 PEACH LADY
A very subtle and refreshing peach wine with a delicate flavor. This is a great desert wine.
2014 BLACKBERRY WINE
A fruity, well balanced, slightly sweet, dessert wine made from 100% Marian blackberry concentrate. Serve chilled.
This is not pancake syrup, it is a BALANCED wine.
2014 SUGAR PLUM
A sweet fruity wine made with white wine and flavored with pure plum concentrate. Well balanced between the acidity and the sweetness and refreshing to the pallet. Pairs well with chicken, white mild cheeses, and seafood dishes. One of our top sellers.
2010 LA FIN
La Fin, “The finish” is a Port Style dessert wine made with the Norton grape. The wine was aged for two years in an oak barrel and then fortified to 20% alcohol and then returned to the barrels again for six months. The wine is very hearty and has strong flavors of Norton.

 

Located just eight miles west of Jackson, TN, Century Family Farm is a family owned and operated winery and farm. Having been a working farm for over 150 years, it is now recognized as a Tennessee Century Farm. We made wines as a hobby for our loved ones for years, and it is now our pleasure to now share our 17 different types of award winning wines with you.
